The cats have a new bed. They adapted it themselves. Very resourceful considering it is a bowl. Charkie models their newest acquisition.

Okay, this may not seem like much to anyone else, but my beautiful daughter allowed me to take a few pictures of her. Mind you, I snapped fast before she could change her mind. These are rare!!

It has been a week of daily (almost) gardening. The effort has certainly paid off. There is still a small amount left to do but it will be easy peasy.

Charkie and Lily are so identical in looks but completely different in their personalities. Charkie is inquisitive, active, independent and laid back. Lily needs all to stay the same, lazy, needy and a nervous nelly. Both of them love to go outside in the backyard. We have been very lucky that they do not go past the patio. Charkie has ventured a little further but this has been Lily’s year to assert herself but the camera is a little too much for Lily to deal with.

Mikey has decided he likes his little sister. She has brought excitement back into his day. Chewing sticks, digging holes and napping are much better with a buddy.

Small Steps

The kitties are having a difficult time adjusting to Maisie. It has been two weeks today and Lily finally came upstairs for more than one minute before running back to the basement if she even suspects the monstrosity may be near. She actually slept on the couch. Curiousity has driven Charkie to hang out a little longer each day. They can now cross paths within a foot of each other and there are no exploding cat tails. Hopefully each day will lessen the kitties fears and their life upstairs can be returned to normal. I miss them!!!!
